Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to Coorg
Route: Kannur to Coorg
Distance: 90 km | Travel Time: 2.5–3 hours
Upon arrival at Kannur Airport/Railway Station, you will be warmly received and transferred to Coorg, also known as Kodagu, a picturesque hill station nestled in the Western Ghats. Famous for its sprawling coffee plantations and misty landscapes, Coorg offers a refreshing retreat into nature.
On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, proceed for sightseeing in Madikeri. Visit the unique Omkareshwara Temple, known for its blend of Gothic and Islamic architecture. Continue to Abbey Falls, cascading amidst coffee plantations, followed by Madikeri Fort and Raja’s Seat for stunning sunset views. You may also visit a coffee estate to understand coffee cultivation and processing. Overnight stay in Coorg.
Day 2 – Coorg Exploration
After breakfast, proceed to Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can enjoy interactive sessions like elephant feeding, bathing, and rides (optional).
Later, visit the famous Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple), one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India. The monastery’s vibrant architecture, prayer chants, and peaceful ambiance create a unique cultural experience.
Return to your hotel and relax amidst the tranquil surroundings of Coorg. Overnight stay in Coorg.
Day 3 – Coorg to Kannur
Distance: 120 km | Travel Time: 3–3.5 hours
After breakfast, check out and drive to Kannur, a coastal town rich in history, handloom traditions, and ritual art forms like Theyyam.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Later, visit the Lighthouse Museum and enjoy panoramic views from the lighthouse. Continue to St. Angelo Fort, a 16th-century Portuguese fort overlooking the Arabian Sea. End the day at Payyambalam Beach, known for its scenic beauty and peaceful ambiance. Overnight stay in Kannur.
Day 4 – Kannur Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Parassinikkadavu Muthappan Temple, a unique temple attracting devotees from across the world. You may also enjoy optional boating experiences in the nearby river.
Later, explore the Kerala Folklore Academy, which showcases Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, including Theyyam and other ritual art forms.
In the afternoon, visit Muzhappilangad Drive-in Beach, Asia’s longest drive-in beach, where you can enjoy the rare experience of driving along the shoreline. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5 – Departure from Kannur
Distance: 30 km | Travel Time: 45 minutes
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Kannur International Airport or railway station for your onward journey.
