Day 1 | Arrival in Kochi → Fort Kochi Biennale Sites

Distance: Cochin International Airport → Fort Kochi ~55 km | Travel Time: 1.5–2 hrs

Arrive at Cochin International Airport, where you’ll be warmly received and transferred to your hotel in the historic Fort Kochi / Mattancherry area. After check-in and a brief rest, begin your cultural journey with the Kochi-Muziris Biennale — a sprawling celebration of contemporary art spanning multiple heritage venues.

Distance: Walking / short transfers between Biennale venues ~2–8 km in total

After breakfast, set out for a full day dedicated to the Kochi Biennale. Today’s focus is deeper engagement with the art — from biennale pavilions to satellite projects scattered across Fort Kochi, Mattancherry, Willingdon Island, and Mundakkal Beach.

Begin at Muziris Heritage Area and the Durbar Hall Art Gallery, which often host thematic exhibitions tied to the Biennale. Continue to Banyan Tree, Pepper House Rooftop, and other curated spaces where both Indian and international artists display contemporary works inspired by memory, identity, and ecology.
